What's New

MORE Bank Holiday Dates

In OPAS version 7 we added a new 'Holiday Dates' screen. This enabled you to enter any holiday dates where clinics would not be running, so that the Sessions/Diary screens would not include these dates. As part of the upgrade we included the Bank Holiday dates up to the end of 2012.

Now it is time to input some more dates, and to make this easy for you we have provided a link to insert the necessary information into OPAS. This includes Bank Holiday dates up to the end of 2029.

The first step is to go to the Downloads page and click on the link to copy a file into OPAS.

The second step is go into OPAS and select Utilities - Upgrade. You must be the only person using OPAS when this step is carried out and you will be given the opportunity to select which dates you require i.e. England & Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland.

The download will update the main OPAS system. Therefore it only needs to be done once, and not by every machine using OPAS.

If you have any questions or problems, please do not hesitate to contact the helpdesk.

Go To Assist

GoToAssist is a web-based remote support tool that enables us to look at your computer from our office. There is no need for any software to be installed on your PC, and as long as you have a working connection to the Internet, the physical distance between us is irrelevant.

To initiate a remote support session, ring our support desk on 01904 492425 and we will issue you with a 9 digit support key.

This is then typed into GoToAssist's connection screen (follow the link below) along with your name (full name or hospital).

We can then remotely view and control your computer to solve the problem just as if we were sitting at your desk.

    Security

GoToAssist users can rest assured that their data is secure. Screen sharing and remote control of customer computers is 100 percent permission-based, and data is fully encrypted end-to-end using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) and government-approved 128-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) encryption.
